THE STUDIO

Founded by Agi, Agile Pilates studio was created with a desire to share her love and passion of Pilates. And to show that Pilates can be for everyone, of any age and ability, and not just for professionals with backgrounds in sport, dancing or gymnastics.

To put it simply, we're here for anyone who’s interested in improving the way they feel, move and look. For those whose day demands too much – or demands too little. It’s for dancers, athletes, office workers, students or parents. It’s for people with injuries and chronic pain, or pregnant and postnatal women. It’s for the young and for the old. In short, a Pilates studio for anyone of any age.

WHAT IS PILATES? 

Pilates is a mind-body exercise method. It strengthens, tones and lengthens muscles while improving posture, balance and suppleness.

The body’s core (the powerhouse), which encompasses the abdomen, deep back muscles, buttocks and upper inner thighs, plays an important role in Pilates.

By learning to engage your core to let all the movements flow from it, you will strengthen and stabilise it. A strong core increases your physical abilities generally, relieves and prevents back pain and helps protect you from injuries.
